PRE-CONGRESS TOUR TO WESTERN AUSTRALIA & NORTHERN TERRITORY

Arrive Perth. Free day to explore the city.
Overnight: Perth.

Sunday 12th
Depart Perth for Simmental herd inspections in the Williams, Mount Barker and Denmark areas.
Lunch at the Williams Woolshed.
Sponsored Dinner at Naracoopa.
Overnight: Albany.
Monday 13th
Early departure after breakfast for a spectacular tree top walk in the Valley of the Giants.
Sponsored lunch at Bridgetown.
Afternoon Simmental stud visit before dinner.
Overnight: Beach resort area of Busselton.
Tuesday 14th

Leisurely morning at Busselton, before departing for stud herd visit and sponsored lunch at Margaret River.
Afternoon tour of wineries in the famous Margaret River region.
Travel North for overnight, near Perth.

Wednesday 15th
Transfer to Perth Airport for flight to Uluru (Ayers Rock) in the Northern territory. Join with Pre-Tour Option 2 group and complete remaining tour together. Explore Uluru (Ayers Rock) and the Olgas.
Overnight: Uluru (Ayers Rock) .
Thursday 16th
Travel from Uluru (Ayers Rock) to Kings Canyon. Take a trek through the picturesque Kings Canyon, and undertake outback cattle visits and sightseeing.
Overnight: Kings Canyon.
Friday 17th
Travel from Kings Canyon to Alice Springs. Tour this famous outback centre, including The Flying Doctor Air Base and the outback School of the Air. Tour will include world famous Alice Springs Desert Park.
Overnight: Alice Springs.
Saturday 18th Late morning flight from Alice Springs to Melbourne, Victoria.

Friday 10 th

Arrive Melbourne.
Overnight: Melbourne.

Saturday 11 th

Morning: Leisurely tour of Melbourne.
Afternoon: Travel to Torquay via Bellarine Peninsula (with Simmental herd display and lunch).
Overnight: Torquay.

Sunday 12th Tour along the spectacular Great Ocean Road, with herd visit en-route. Travel on to Mt Gambier in South Australia for a traditional Aussie bush barbeque dinner.
Overnight: Mt Gambier.
Monday 13th

Local Simmental cattle display before departing Mt Gambier. Visit the famous Blue Lakes before travelling on to the wine region of Coonawarra for a winery visit with lunch and wine tasting.
Afternoon stud visit & on-farm dinner.
Overnight:Naracoorte

Tuesday 14th Breakfast, then morning Simmental herd visits. Simmental display and dinner at the historic Adelaide Hills village of Hahndorf. Continue to Adelaide.
Overnight: Adelaide.
Wednesday 15th Fly from Adelaide to Uluru (Ayers Rock) in the Northern Territory. Join with Pre-Tour Option 1 group and complete remaining tour together.

POST CONGRESS TOUR TO NORTH QUEENSLAND

Monday 27th
Morning: Depart Sydney for flight to Cairns. Transfer to Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park for lunch. Afternoon: Journey on the Skyrail to the village of Kuranda. Free time to explore Kuranda. Return to hotel, located right on the Cairns Esplanade.
Tuesday 28th
Morning: Embark on the cruise vessel “Ocean Spirit” to one of the marine wonders of the world, The Great Barrier Reef. Under-water coral viewing, snorkelling and lunch all included. Optional scuba diving is available for those qualified.
Afternoon: Return to hotel.
Wednesday 29th
Morning: Trip to the famous Cape Tribulation, Daintree and Mosman Gorge. Take a Guided walk through some of the most pristine rainforest in Queensland. Enjoy lunch in a beautiful rainforest setting.
Afternoon: Take a river cruise, among other activities available.
Thursday 30th

Breakfast at hotel. Free time at your leisure before transferring to Cairns airport for your homeward flight. Please note: Individual extensions are optional.

 
POST CONGRESS TOUR TO NEW ZEALAND

Monday 27th Own arrangements for flight from Sydney to Queenstown (South Island) via Christchurch . A representative from Simmental NZ will meet you at the airport. Transfer to lakeside hotel.
Evening: Welcome dinner.
Overnight: Queenstown.
Tuesday 28th
Morning: Visit Arcadia Station, a high country station running commercial Simmentals.
Lunch at a classic kiwi country style hotel.
Afternoon: Free time, for a jet boat ride, lake cruise or forest walk.
Evening: Free time.
Overnight: Queenstown.
Wednesday 29th
Morning: Travel to Dunedin with stud visits and lunch en-route.
Afternoon: Flight from Dunedin to Nelson, an important horticultural area.
Overnight: Nelson.
Thursday 30th
Morning: Stud visit with lunch on farm. Later fly to the wine region Napier - the fruit basket of New Zealand. Wine tasting included with dinner.
Overnight: Napier.

Friday 1st

Morning: Tour Napier. Depart for the river city of Whanganui with stud visits and lunch included. Dinner provided en-route to Whanganui.
Overnight: Whanganui.
Saturday 2nd Morning: Travel north to the Maori cultural and geothermal area of Rotorua, with stud visit and lunch en-route.
Evening/Dinner: Traditional Maori hangi (feast) and entertainment.
Overnight: Rotorua.
Sunday 3rd Stud visit today and also a trip to Te Puia - a unique Maori cultural and geothermal area.
Evening: Farewell finale - dinner show in historic Blue Baths building.
Overnight: Rotorua.
Monday 4th
Final stud visit with lunch, before transfer to Auckland
International Airport for flights home.
